Collaboration between the health and community development sectors has increased attention, accelerated progress, and improved community health. It’s recognized that the design and operation of the communities in which people live, work, learn, and play significantly influence their health.
Campus-Community Health Equity Center is a pilot center designed to strengthen the health of our communities, by promoting and advocating for the cross-sector knowledge sharing between faith-based organizations (CBOs), community partners, and academic institutions. We aim to fulfill this endeavor by partnering with the Monumental Baptist Church and the University of Sciences (U.S.P). We are aiming to:
- Promote healthy habits, and disease prevention programs
- To leverage and reinforce our Campus-Communities
- To help seniors better managed their medications
- To address mental disorders, and trauma concerns
- To facilitate early detection practices and screenings
